Adventure Centre for Education (ACE) specialises in harnessing the power and energy of adventure sports to broaden the visions and aspirations of the people we work with, regardless of age, ability or experience. Our mission is to make access to the outdoors fun, educational and inspirational, reconnecting you with the beautiful natural environment which surrounds us.
Established in 2005 by Chris Saunders, ACE is an independent charity and company limited by guarantee. The limited company runs under Adventure Carrick, and all profits generated are invested back into the charity in a social enterprise model.
We work with a range of partners, stakeholders and funders across sectors to help deliver projects and programmes across South Ayrshire and beyond. We’ve partnered with over 30 organisations and in 2023 alone, attracted more than 1,500 people to take part in our activities. We are proud to have grown into an independent charity with a focus on both community and education work based in the natural world.
Since 2005, ACE has developed a wide range of programmes which provide outdoor activity days and training courses to suit individuals and groups of all levels of ability and aspiration Known as #ACEDAYS, we work with primary and secondary schools, youth groups, community groups and more to offer experiences to reconnect people with the natural world.
We offer a range of land and water-based activities including coasteering, gorge walking, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, biking, bushcraft, climbing, abseiling, axe throwing and archery for groups, schools and more, and we can provide bespoke packages to suit your needs so everyone can experience #ACEDAYS!
