Adventure Carrick, a branch of the independent charity Adventure Centre for Education (ACE), is situated in Girvan, Scotland. Since 2005, ACE has harnessed the power of adventure sports to broaden the visions and aspirations of people across all age groups, abilities, and experiences. Tailored Programs
With over 20 years of dedicated experience working with school groups, Adventure Carrick offers comprehensive services for students of all ages. Whether it’s early years or secondary school, ACE designs bespoke packages to meet the unique needs of each school group. From outdoor activity days to training courses, Adventure Carrick reconnects students with the natural world.
#ACEDAYS
Known as #ACEDAYS, these programs engage primary and secondary schools, youth groups, and community organizations. Participants experience a range of land and water-based activities, including coasteering, gorge walking, kayaking, bushcraft, and more. Adventure Carrick’s goal is to make access to the outdoors fun, educational, and inspirational.

Building Confidence and Well-Being
Adventure Carrick’s programs go beyond textbooks. Students gain confidence, communication skills, and mental resilience through outdoor adventures. The Girvan Primary Balance project, for instance, combined healthy eating, mindfulness, and environmental learning. Adventure Carrick has a remarkable track record—some of its former students have transitioned into employed instructors. These instructors, armed with their firsthand experience and passion for adventure, now guide others through coasteering sessions along the Ayrshire coastline. Additionally, Adventure Carrick's canoeing programs, led by qualified instructors, empower participants to explore South West Scotland's finest coastlines and inland lochs.
