ACE Autumn Walking Festival – Celebrating Connection, Nature, and Wellbeing
The ACE Autumn Walking Festival is a seasonal celebration of walking, community, and the changing landscape of Carrick. Organised by the Adventure Centre for Education, the festival offers a rich programme of guided walks that highlight the beauty and heritage of our local coastline, hills, rivers, and forests during the vibrant autumn months.
- Guided Walks for All Abilities: From gentle coastal strolls to more challenging hill walks, there’s something for everyone—families, older adults, seasoned hikers, and beginners alike. Girvan To Barr Walk, Lendalfoot to Girvan Walk, Blue Health Walk Girvan
- Blue and Green Health Focus: Walks are designed to support physical activity, mental wellbeing, and social connection, often incorporating mindful moments, breathwork, or opportunities to pause and appreciate nature.
- Local Stories and Insights: Many walks include local guides sharing stories about the environment, history, wildlife, and culture of the region.
- Community and Inclusion: The festival welcomes individuals from all backgrounds, with several walks tailored to promote inclusion and reduce isolation.
Whether you’re seeking fresh air, new friendships, or a deeper connection with nature, the ACE Autumn Walking Festival is an invitation to slow down, explore, and enjoy the benefits of being outdoors during one of the most beautiful times of the year. This will be over the first three weekends in September.
