Yoga with Bushcraft | Activate Your Life Force Series | Half day
Our ‘Holistic Adventure’ series continues into 2019 as we once again combine yoga and qi gong with one of our outdoor activity classics.

We have once again teamed up with inspirational Yoga, Wellbeing and Intuitive coach Heather Gweneth Bird and Forest School tutor Chris Saunders to offer you a fantastic experience which will take you on a personal journey to benefit the Mind | Body and Spirit.
Set amongst the mixed woodland of Commoncraig, Dunlop, East Ayrshire, Heather has set up a beautiful yoga area where the sounds of the forest will help deepen the connection during the yoga flow. It makes the ideal location to divulge into the ancient skills of living off the land and using basic skills to create heat and light through the learning of fire lighting techniques using basic materials.
Fire is what shaped our existence as humans. Naturally, people are drawn into huddles around an open fire for warmth and conversation. It transfixes us in our mental state and as Chris will explain, fire and all its attributes can be used as a superb meditator.
Keepsakes will of course be on offer as well as a healthy lunch.

Activate Your Life Force is a series of Yoga and adventure days happening throughout the year. These days will be based all over Ayrshire, but more so in and around the world renowned Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere of which we live in.
The day begins with a uplifting Yoga and qi gong practice which is open to all levels, using breath, movement and techniques to wake up core strength and prepare to connect with the deeply enlivening movements within the natural woodland environment. Weather permitting, the session may head under the canvas within our tentipi
The bushcraft session will be led by our highly experienced instructor Chris Saunders who will pitch the activity to suit all levels. You will come away with a great sense of achievement and deeper understanding of the effects of creating and managing live fire on the mind and by using ancient techniques, this session will bring together the natural environment with our innate sense of survival.
A healthy lunch is provided which is followed by a guided relaxation with the sounds of nature surrounding which ensures a journey inward once again.
The days starts to wind down with an interactive coaching workshop emphasising how the take home experiences of your bushcraft and yoga day can be applied to everyday life, keeping your creative life force activated!
