Adventure Carrick invites you to join us at our inaugural summer holistic adventure retreat where you’ll nourish your body and mind through the nurturing power of nature and a deep connection with the elements.

You’ll enjoy challenging adventure activities, yoga, meditation, and have ample opportunity to immerse yourself in all that mother nature has to offer.

This unique experience will commence on the evening of 24th Septmeber for our opening ceremony through to Sunday 26th September for an all-inclusive camping retreat.

This is a chance to push yourself, relax, have fun and leave feeling inspired.

    Support and encouragement throughout this journey will be provided by our highly experienced holistic adventure guides Justine and Chris . Their aim being to guide you to the next level, whether that be through physical challenges or mindful consciousness, throughout this exciting and interactive weekend.

    This will be an intimate event with limited spaces so that we can fully support you through this transformational weekend of self-enquiry, re-connection with the earth and adventure.

    1. Day1 Summer Holistic Adventure Retreat

      LOCATION

      This weekend retreat will be based in the stunning Ayrshire countryside in the old walled garden at Dalquharan castle.

      HIGHLIGHTS

       FRIDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER

      Evening meet and opening ceremony: Get to know each other, zen and the art of axe throwing, fire circle with open discussion, stories, and music.

      SATURDAY 25TH SEPTEMBER

      Finding balance: We in the western world spend so much time in our heads – this day will affirm the benefits of connecting back to our beautiful bodies, physically and emotionally.

      We will start the day with a morning dip in the river and earth practices. These will include grounding practices, receiving positive energy from the earth, re-connection to the physical body and building strength and stability not only physically but also mentally and emotionally.

      We will continue to explore the plentiful benefits of finding balance within our lives within the stand-up paddle boarding session in the afternoon. During this session we will cover the basics of stand-up paddle boarding however, if you are already a keen paddleboarder, Chris has over ten years of SUP coaching to share and guide your skills to the next level.

      The workshop in the afternoon will be an introduction to Yin Yoga – a perfect balance to our yang lifestyles and a beautiful practice if slowing down is something you crave in your everyday life – ending with a visualisation meditation.

      We will finish the day with an opportunity to participate in mindful archery, a fire circle inviting reflections from the day, open discussion, stories, and music.

      SUNDAY 26TH SEPTMEBER

      Find your inner warrior: We all have so much inherent strength and wisdom however, external influences, social expectations and our fast-paced lifestyles can sometimes result in the creation of barriers which prevent us from fully accessing our true power.

      We will start the day with a morning dip in the river and elemental practices, today focusing on the element of water. Finding creativity, flexibility, and freedom through a very fluid and explorative flow, letting go of expectations, releasing fear and inviting courage. Finishing with a breathing workshop and relaxation.

      Coasteering in the afternoon will provide an opportunity to face your fears, whether its swimming in the sea or jumping from the stunning surrounding cliffs of varying heights with the dedicated support of our experienced team. During the session we will cover the psychology of fear and how fear can hold you back from reaching your full potential in life.

      Our workshop on the Sunday afternoon will consist of plant connection and foraging, promoting an awareness of our abundant natural environment.

      We will finish the day with our closing ceremony with a chance to reflect on our journey together.

      YOGA & MEDITATION CLASSES

      Meditation: Each of the meditation sessions will be different. You will be guided through a set of yogic breathing exercises and mindfulness-based meditation practises.

      Yoga: A blend of Vinyasa, Yin & Restorative practices. The aim will be to nourish and revitalise the physical body, boost metabolism, increase blood circulation, reduce stress and promote flexibility, strength, stability and relaxation.

      Since we will be working with a small group during the sessions, you will have the opportunity to receive lots of individual attention. You will also have ample opportunities to ask questions, work on specific postures and/or have chats about Yoga.  All the classes are guided by verbal cues, optional hands-on assists, and physical demonstrations.
