Gorge Walking | 3hrs | 7yrs+
Gorge walking is an action packed activity which is suitable for all ages and abilities and venues are chosen to suit your group. During the summer months, from May to October, our gorge walks vary from 2km to 10km and involve walking in the river, scrambling over rocks and other obstacles, sliding down water slides cut into the rock by the river itself, jumping off high rocks into clear pool.
Gorge walking is a truly memorable day out.

Often referred to as Gorge Walking or Ghyll Scrambling it’s a fantastic activity, and regardless of what you call it you’re going to get wet!
We’ll kit you out with everything you need, wetsuit, buoyancy jacket, helmet, etc. You only need to bring swim wear, a towel, some shoes to wear in the water and your enthusiasm.
During the summer months, from May to October, our gorge walks vary from 2km to 10km and involve walking in the river, scrambling over rocks and other obstacles, sliding down waterslides cut into the rock by the river itself, jumping off high rocks into clear pools.
It’s a total rush and if you’re never tried it then you’re missing out!
Activities normally meet at 10am at the Adventure Carrick base in Girvan. You will receiving an activity briefing and all participants will be required to complete a medical declaration/consent form. You will get changed and then head off to the venue in your own transport. The activity will normally finish at around 2pm at the venue and you will not need to return to the base.
You may not need to travel to our base depending on your location as we can bring all the equipment needed with us and meet you at the venue.
The cost is £45 per person and this is based on a minimum of 4 people booking. Please contact us for a bespoke price for a smaller group.
