Gorge walking is an action packed activity which is suitable for all ages and abilities and venues are chosen to suit your group. During the summer months, from May to October, our gorge walks vary from 2km to 10km and involve walking in the river, scrambling over rocks and other obstacles, sliding down water slides cut into the rock by the river itself, jumping off high rocks into clear pool.
Gorge walking is a truly memorable day out.

Often referred to as Gorge Walking or Ghyll Scrambling it’s a fantastic activity, and regardless of what you call it you’re going to get wet!
We’ll kit you out with everything you need, wetsuit, buoyancy jacket, helmet, etc. You only need to bring swim wear, a towel, some shoes to wear in the water and your enthusiasm.
During the summer months, from May to October, our gorge walks vary from 2km to 10km and involve walking in the river, scrambling over rocks and other obstacles, sliding down waterslides cut into the rock by the river itself, jumping off high rocks into clear pools.
It’s a total rush and if you’re never tried it then you’re missing out!
Please be aware that if a child under the age of 16 years is booked onto the session a responsible adult will need to be on the bank for duration of the session. This is not the case if the responsible adult is booked onto to the session with the child.
