As part of the our Summer of Adventure series, we hope you can join our instructors for a thrilling day out exploring the best of south ayrshire’s coastline.

Let your juniors cool off this summer by joining our instructors on an exploration of the inter tidal zone rock pools near Ballantrae, South Ayrshire.
Extreme rock pooling includes observing wildlife and sea creatures in their natural habitat whilst journeying the nooks, pools, inlets and caves around our amazing venue which is suitable for all abilities and all the family. The session includes water initiation games, observing creatures and learning about the oceanic habitats, movement on dry rock, jumping into the sea from different heights and culminates with a 5 min plastic pick up…which is part of our environmental ethos.
Extreme Rock Pooling is a time served activity with Adventure Carrick and one we proudly deliver to primary aged pupils and families alike.
We are offering a FREE pick up by mini bus for clients residing near Doonfoot/Alloway/Ayr/Maybole/Kirkoswald.
Transport Meeting place/Drop off – 0915 am Burns Museum, Alloway, Ayr & 0940am at the Carrick Centre, Maybole. Drop off 3-4pm.
Girvan cluster based clients – Meeting place – ACE Base, Grangestone Industrial Estate, Girvan, KA26 9PF – 1000am. Return travel by mini bus to the venue.
14 places available (1 Adult per child family. Children under 7yrs are recommended to be assisted by a parent).
Full equipment, insurance, instruction and transport provided.
Changing facilities available at the ACE base. Modesty capes provided for after activity to change at venue. We offer modesty capes for outdoor changing.

Cool off this summer by exploring the coastline around Ballantrae, South Ayrshire.
This activity is a younger children’s version of coasteering with rock pooling the central theme. The instructors will encourage participants to explore the inter tidal zone and learn about the coastal environment and the creatures who live there whilst moving from one site to another.
Session includes rock scrambling, jumping into the sea from a variety of heights and exploring the caves, nooks and coves. The approach to this activity is challenge by choice.
Transport pick up available from Burns museum, Alloway and also Carrick Centre, Maybole.
Local clients near to Girvan are invited to meet us at our base to change into kit.
Medical forms to be completed before the activity if clients are new to joining us.
