Our Coasteering Explorer session is designed for those looking for more of a THRILL than CHILL. Our activity location is perfect for exploring rock pools, coves and of course jumping into the sea.

At Adventure Carrick we are proud to be able to say that we were one of the first outdoor activity centres to offer Coasteering in Scotland and we’ve been going strong for more than 10 years. Our activity venue offers suitable shelter and provides a range of interesting features and challenges for all ability levels.
Coasteering is a physical activity which involves wearing wetsuits and PPE to enable participants to exploring coves, rock pools, caves and move on rock within the intertidal zone. For the thrill seekers a session typically includes jumping into the sea from varying degrees of heights.
Challenge by choice is the mantra and sessions progress at the pace of the group.
Our experienced instructors will also impart their knowledge on the local environment by exploring sealife in the rock pools, explaining the geological processes that form the coastline features and also explain the fabled “Sawney bean the cannibals cave”

Our experienced and friendly instructors are GBSLG accredited and also hold a range of qualifications which provides them with the ability to plan and prepare a suitable day out.
The half day FAMILY session is designed as rock pooling with a hint of adventure and aims to cover the basics of:
Movement on rock, entering and egressing the water and rock shelves safely, swimming in the intertidal zone and introducing jumping techniques.
