Maidens World Ocean Day Festival June 2024

Maidens World Ocean Day Festival

We are really excited to be partnering with Maidens World Ocean Day Festival this year. We are offering some wonderful activities for you to partake in as part of the Ocean celebration weekend event on the 8th-9th June 2024. Activities on offer include an introduction to stand up paddle boarding, an introduction to sea kayaking and our wellbeing Sea Tea and Me event.

We are also really excited to be launching the South Ayrshire Snorkel trail which is part of the national snorkel trail created by the Scottish Wildlife Trust. Adventure Carrick has been leading on the development of the South Ayrshire trail through our charity the Adventure Centre for Education (ACE).  We will be launching this on Sunday 9th June and there will be some snorkel sessions on offer at our Maidens site. You will need to sign up for these.

Sea, Tea and Me

Join the Maidens World Ocean Day Festival for some health and wellbeing with Adventure Carrick’s Sea, Tea and Me wellbeing event. Last year saw the launch of these half day wellbeing sessions which encompass a holistic approach to life and wellbeing. Spaces are limited. When you sign up you will take part in all four events. These will be run in a round robin style in small groups. All activities are undercover in our wellbeing tented arena.

Join TriUniTea for a 1-hour World Tea/Herbal Infusions talk and tasting. Chris will introduce alternative tea options and immune-boosting herbal infusions from around the world. Learn to gather and dry your own herbs or explore ready-to-buy options. Discover the benefits of mindful tea drinking and engage in a simple tea ceremony for improved mental health.

Experience a rejuvenating 1-hour Wellbeing Yoga session with Justine. This gentle yoga practice focuses on self-reflection, compassion, growth, and self-awareness, benefiting both physical and mental strength.

Discover the health benefits of a sound bath journey with Annie from Ground Sound and Grow. Enjoy a calm and stress-reducing experience through mindful listening.

Dive into the benefits of cold water dipping in the sea with Sarah from Swim the Lochs. Learn about the immune-boosting and pain-relieving effects of cold water immersion. Enjoy stunning views of Arran while connecting with nature. From barefoot walks to full dips, options are available for all.
